Handspan Travel Indochina was the first Asia-based tour operator certified “committed to responsible tourism” by the German company Tourcert.

TourCert is a non-profit company for certification in tourism; it awards the CSR label to tourism companies. The company was founded in 2009 by four not-for-profit organizations. It unites experts from the fields of tourism, academic institutions, environment, development, and politics. With their long-standing experience, it stands for sound criteria development and certification.

Since its creation in 1997, Handspan always set the quality of travel experiences for both host populations and travelers as a core priority. We pioneered travel styles and quality management within tourism industry in Vietnam for more than 17 years. It was then natural for us to develop along the concept of responsible travel and corporate social responsibilities of tour operators.

Our efforts to develop and offer tours with high responsibility performance have been rewarded in 2014 with the achievement of the Tourcert certification for incoming agencies. This is only the beginning; we keep on striving to improve our performance as a responsible tour operator and are looking forward for the next level.,
