Day 1 Phnom Penh Orientation

Meal: lunch | Accommodation: not included

Embark on an enriching full-day tour of Phnom Penh. Begin your journey at the majestic Royal Palace, a stunning complex adorned with gilded spires and intricate Khmer architecture. Admire the intricate architecture and explore the opulent Silver Pagoda, home to precious Buddha statues and dazzling silver tiles. We’ll also spend time at the National Museum, housing a remarkable collection of Khmer artifacts and ancient treasures.

After a delicious local lunch, delve into Cambodia's painful past at the haunting Tuol Sleng Prison (S-21) and the nearby Killing Fields at Choeung Ek. Reflect on the country's tragic history and pay tribute to the victims. Visit the sacred Wat Phnom pagoda for panoramic views over the city before concluding your day with a memorable sunset river cruise along the Mekong River.

For your evening we highly recommend the Cambodian Living Art On Stage Shows at National Museum. It’s a series of 3 rotating shows featuring a wide range of traditional performing arts. With more than Apsara dances, we offer you the chance to discover the diversity of Cambodian culture and traditional arts through original and enjoyable pieces, set in the splendid gardens of the National Museum. In addition to giving a unique opportunity to experience Cambodian culture and arts, CLA (Cambodian Living Art) aims at creating regular, well-paid work for emerging arts professionals in the arts sector.
