Day 4 Keng Tung - Departure

Meals: breakfast, lunch | Accommodation: not included

Early morning we will visit the Keng Tung local market, a fascinating place to soak up the atmosphere. All kinds of vegetables, rice, fruits, meat and fish are on sale. People from the highlands come to town to shop or to sell their goods. For instance, the silver shops are of special interest for the Akha, as there they can buy silver coins to make their unique headdresses.

We will stop at one of the noodle shops to enjoy a typical breakfast of Shan noodles and a cup of tea. Time permitting, we will stop at Wat In, a Khun-style temple, or at the more Myanmar-style Maha Myat Muni Temple. A pottery and a blacksmith's forge can also be visited.

At the end of the morning/early afternoon, we will be transferred to the airport for our onward flight.
