Day 1 Phnom Penh arrival

Upon arrival in Phnom Penh, you will be met and greeted by our driver and get a private transfer to your hotel for check-in.

With time permitting, in the late afternoon, you’ll embark on a traditional Khmer boat for a sunset cruise along the Mekong River. As the boat glides along the river, you begin to marvel at the stunning views that unfold before you. The setting sun casts a golden glow over the city, illuminating the majestic Royal Palace and the glittering spires of the pagodas that dot the skyline. The shimmering reflection of the city lights on the water adds a touch of magic to the scene.

Day 2 Phnom Penh Orientation

Meal: breakfast, lunch | Accommodation: in Phnom Penh

In the morning, we'll begin by exploring the renowned National Museum, where you'll discover a treasure trove of Khmer art and artifacts, giving you a glimpse into Cambodia's rich history. Next, we'll hop on a traditional Xich lo, a three-wheeled cycle rickshaw, and ride through the charming French Quarter and along the bustling city waterfront. Feel the energy of the city as you soak in its vibrant atmosphere and observe daily life. 

In the afternoon, we'll venture to Koh Dach silk island, a hidden gem known for its traditional silk weaving. Travel by tuk-tuk, an iconic mode of transportation in Cambodia, and experience the local way of life as you explore the island. Marvel at the intricate silk weaving techniques and perhaps even purchase some unique souvenirs to take home.

To conclude the day, we will visit Wat Phnom, a sacred temple perched on a small hill. Climb the steps to reach the pagoda and be rewarded with panoramic vistas of the city.

Day 3 Phnom Penh Discover

Meal: breakfast, lunch | Accommodation: in Phnom Penh

In the morning, we will visit the opulent Royal Palace, a majestic complex that serves as the official residence of the King of Cambodia. Marvel at the grandeur of its architecture and explore the Silver Pagoda, adorned with precious gems and an exquisite emerald Buddha statue. Our next stop will be the haunting Tuol Sleng Prison, for an insight into Cambodia's tragic past and pay homage to the victims of this dark period in history.

In the afternoon, we will embark on a journey to Oudong Mountain, located a short distance from the city. Ascend to the top of the mountain, where you will find the Vipassana Dhura Buddhist Meditation Center. Engage in a peaceful meditation session and absorb the serene atmosphere that surrounds you. As the day draws to a close, we will embark on a mesmerizing sunset river cruise along the mighty Mekong River. Admire the changing hues of the sky as you sail past the picturesque landscapes of the capital city.

Day 4 Phnom Penh - Siem Reap. Tonle Sap. Phare circus

Meal: breakfast | Accommodation: in Siem Reap

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. On arrival in Siem Reap, be greeted and transferred to the hotel for check-in.

In the afternoon we will head to Tonle Sap and visit one of its floating communities - the Chong Kneas Village. Upon reaching the boat dock, you'll board a traditional long-tail boat, which is a common mode of transportation in the area. These boats are equipped to navigate through the intricate waterways and provide an authentic experience.  We explore the village built on stilts and rafts, witnessing the daily lives of the locals engaged in fishing and aquaculture. Discover floating houses, markets, and even a basketball court. Sail through the beautiful mangrove forests and learn about their ecological importance. Afterward, we will return to Siem Reap by road.

In the evening we’ll enjoy the Phare circus show. This unique circus combines acrobatics, theater, music, and storytelling to create a captivating cultural experience. The talented performers, trained by Phare Ponleu Selpak, showcase traditional Cambodian arts with a modern twist. The show's high energy, spectacular acts, and engaging storytelling keep audiences enthralled.

Day 5 Ta Prohm, Ta Nei and Takeo temple. Spiritual Angkor

Meal: breakfast | Accommodation: in Siem Reap

We start early in the morning with a visit to the enchanting Ta Prohm temple, known for its stunning intertwining tree roots and mystical atmosphere. As you explore the temple's intricate corridors and moss-covered walls, you'll feel like stepping into a lost world.

Next, embark on a captivating walking tour to Ta Nei and Preah Khan, two lesser-known gems nestled amidst the lush jungle. Ta Nei offers a serene ambiance, surrounded by nature's beauty, while Preah Khan showcases impressive architectural details and vast courtyards.

In the afternoon, we'll venture into Angkor Thom, a sprawling complex renowned for its grandeur. Marvel at the imposing stone faces of Bayon, with its numerous towers adorned with serene smiles. To add a spiritual touch to your experience, we've arranged a special monk blessing ceremony, where you'll have the opportunity to receive a heartfelt blessing from the resident monks.

Day 6 Angkor Wat at sunrise. Banteay Srei & Golden Silk Peach Farm

Meal: breakfast | Accommodation: in Siem Reap

We begin in the early morning, offering you the chance to witness the breathtaking sunrise at the iconic Angkor Wat. As the first rays of sunlight bathe the temple's majestic towers, you'll be captivated by the ethereal beauty and sense of tranquility that surrounds this UNESCO World Heritage site. We begin by unraveling the mysteries of the bas-reliefs that tell tales from Hindu mythology and of the glories of the Khmer empire. Stretching for almost one kilometer, these intricate carvings are a candidate for the world's longest unbroken piece of art. The final steps to the upper terrace of Angkor are the steepest of all, as pilgrims of old were to stoop on their pilgrimage to encounter the Gods. Finally the pinnacle, the sacred heart of Angkor Wat, a blend of spirituality and symmetry so perfect that few moments will measure up.

In the afternoon, we'll continue our adventure to the enchanting Banteay Srei temple. Known as the "Citadel of Women," this intricately carved masterpiece showcases remarkable pink sandstone architecture and exquisite detailing, leaving visitors in awe of its delicate beauty. Next, we'll visit the hidden gem of Banteay Samre, nestled amidst lush greenery. Discover the harmonious blend of Hindu and Buddhist influences in its stunning architecture, characterized by intricate bas-reliefs and graceful columns. Explore the peaceful courtyards and galleries, and let the serenity of this lesser-known temple transport you to a bygone era.

Day 7 Siem Reap countryside by Vespa

Meal: breakfast | Accommodation: in Siem Reap

Escape the tourist hub of Siem Reap and take to the beautiful countryside that exists in the shadow of Angkor Wat, riding pillion on our modern Vespas. 

We start the tour at APOPO, a landmine-clearing organization that uses Hero Rats to sniff out deadly explosives. Then we use small paths and back streets to lead you out of the city to a stunning pagoda where you’ll learn about Khmer spirituality and receive a Buddhist blessing. Continue by Vespa deeper into the countryside to gain a fascinating insight into the patterns of daily life. We’ll meet a family of rattan weavers, taste delicious sticky rice grilled in bamboo, meet a local medicine man, and much more!

Our last stop is amid the rice paddies, where a local family welcomes us into their house for a cold drink and a chance to chat with these friendly hosts. After saying farewell to the family and the countryside, our driver drops you off at your hotel in Siem Reap around noon time.

Day 8 Siem Reap departure

Enjoy your time at leisure until our driver arrives to transfer to the airport for your onward departure flight. 

If you're seeking a delightful beach break from Siem Reap, there are several enticing options available within a reasonable distance. One option is to head to Sihanoukville, a popular coastal town located about 230 kilometers southwest of Siem Reap. Sihanoukville offers a range of beautiful beaches, such as Ochheuteal Beach, Sokha Beach, and Independence Beach, where you can relax on the golden sands, swim in the turquoise waters, and indulge in various water sports. Another alternative is Koh Rong, a stunning island situated off the coast of Sihanoukville. Known for its pristine beaches and vibrant marine life, Koh Rong is a paradise for beach lovers and snorkeling enthusiasts. If you're looking for a more tranquil escape, consider visiting Kep, a charming seaside town famous for its fresh seafood and picturesque sunsets.
