Upon your arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh city, you’ll be met and driven to your hotel in the city centre. After checking in, you’ll be free for a preliminary wander around District 1.
In the evening, how to better explore Saigon local life than from the back of a scooter? Even if you’re not familiar with riding on a two-wheel machine, this journey will charm you and surely remain as a highlight of your trip in Vietnam. Sit behind your driver, relax and watch the city passing by. This tour will take you on wide avenues and narrow lanes for an alternative sightseeing of Saigon. Get ready for the must-see landmarks while also getting off the crowded tourist trail for a peek at the history, the streets and the sights that most visitors never even hear about or see. The tour starts at 18:00 and ends at your hotel around 22:00.
If an adventure with local motorbikes is not something you fancy, we would suggest a modern cultural performance named AO show instead. Featuring a blend of acrobatic acts, circus stunts, traditional music and contemporary dance, the lavish production embraces various elements of performance art to paint a uniquely Vietnamese picture. Adding to the allure of the show is its venue - the Saigon Opera House.

7:45 – meet our guide at your hotel lobby. Your day starts with a morning coffee at Tao Dan park. Coves 10 hectares ò Saigon, the park is an ideal urban green space and offers perfect spot for the city birds’ lover club. Enjoy your local coffee while listening to birds’ song or have some chat chit with locals.
The next stop will be the Reunification Palace - a blend of traditional ritual and modern architecture, served as the presidential palace of South Vietnam until reunification in 1975. The building now functions as a museum, offering tours of the former state rooms, presidential office and library, living quarters of the president's family, and underground war rooms.
From the palace, you’ll take a stroll to some major colonial architecture of the city including the City Hall, the Opera House, the Notre Dame Cathedral...
After lunch at a local restaurant, in the afternoon we head out of the city to visit Cu Chi - a byzantine maze of underground passages, chambers, rooms and booby traps used during the war. You'll be able to get an idea of what it would have been like to live, sleep and eat in the underground passages and bunkers during the fierce battles above and below the surface. Dinner on your own and spend another night in Saigon.

8:00 – pick up from your hotel for an approximate 2.5 hour drive to our exploration area. We let the touristy spots behind and travel beyond, where very few other visitors have the chance to go. We will first visit a small local market, a church, a pagoda and a brick factory. About 11.00am, we embark on a local boat and hit the waters of the Mekong a first time. It is a short transfer to our cycling spot. We hop on bikes and take narrow concrete paths along plantations and across villages. We stop en route to visit some families and learn a bit more about their activity and daily life.
Lunch is served on-board while we are cruising by typical Mekong sceneries. In the afternoon, the program is pretty flexible; we keep on our waterways exploration including a traditional sampan ride and visit several workshops that perpetuate ancestral know-how and productions of the region. About 3.30pm, we get on the car to drive back to Saigon.
