Fun fact about Vietnam.

NGUYỄN is the most common Vietnamese family name. While there are 167 family names exist in Vietnam (not counting family names from hill-tribal groups), 38.5% of our population are NGUYỄN. As with other common surnames, people having this surname are not necessarily related.

 

 

 

 

 

3) Madam Khanh - The banh my queen is 15 minutes north of the Thu Bon river, tucked away in a less touristy part of the Hoi An city. On TripAdvisor, the popular forum for worldwide travelers, one can see hundreds of positive comments from tourists about Madam Khanh’s bread. Have you ever eaten it?

4) The famous fish sauce and dried fish, the popular food for rural people in Mekong delta, they are sold fully in Chau Doc market.

5) Walking along the Huong river and enjoying the spectacular view of Truong Tien brigde - a century-old bridge at the center of Hue city. The bridge becomes more attractive and romantic when it is decorated with light and lit up in changing colors at night.

6) The most exciting moment when visiting Cao Dai temple is to attend one of the celabration. Priests are dressed in red, blue and yellow, followers in white.. It is most colourful with some nice music, and quite enjoyable.
Cao Dai temple - about 2 hours drive out of HCM city. According to Lonely Planet, it's one of Asia's most unusual and astonishing structures. The building was built between 1933 and 1955, and based on the three religions of Buddhiism, Daoism and Confucianism.

7) The Blythe family is discovering Northern Vietnam with us and having a great time. In the pictures, Tobias, Alice and Rose are riding a water buffalo through the rice fields before thay are crossing the "funny" bamboo bridge to board a sampan and see beautiful karst formations in Ninh Binh. They call this friendly black cattle their limousine.
